New to the Model 12 family are:

12 Long Range Precision Varminter – This long-range hair-splitter was introduced in 2007 in a revolutionary right bolt, left port, single-shot configuration. New this year, the LRPV is available as a repeater with a four-round detachable box magazine and a right bolt, right port configuration. The caliber 6mm Norma BR has also been added to both the single-shot and repeater versions. Repeater features include:

  • Right bolt, Right port target action

12 Varminter Low Profile – Previously available as a single shot, This model is now available as a repeater with detachable box magazine. The repeater is offered in a variety of short-action chamberings, including 223 Rem. and 22-250, each with two different twist rates, 204 Ruger, 243 Win., 308 Win. and 300 WSM. MSRP for the repeater is $934 in standard calibers and $972 in 300 WSM.

12 BTCSS Thumbhole – This new varminter features a vented thumbhole laminate stock, dual pillar bedding, heavy fluted stainless-steel barrel with recessed target crown, detachable box magazine and an oversized bolt handle. MSRP is $981

Varmint Actions – For those who wish to build a custom varmint rifle based on the Savage 110 action, stainless steel varmint actions can now be purchased separately. Actions include: bolt assembly, AccuTrigger assembly, barrel locknut, recoil lug, trigger guard, magazine box assembly and receiver assembly. MSRP is $460

12 Precision Target Rifles – The Savage F-Class and F/TR were both a runaway success in 2007, with Team Savage member Darrell Buell taking first place honors at the Fullbore Nationals with a 100-percent stock Model 12 F/TR. In fact, at the two F-Class National-level matches in 2007 (F-Class and Fullbore), Team Savage shooters took two of the three podium spots. This year, the F-Class will also be available in a 6 Norma BR Chambering. Also look for a new addition to this series midyear with a Palma-style rifle with fully-adjustable stock.
