Crosman Introduces First Pre-Charged 2000 Psi Pneumatic Air Rifle
Benjamin Discovery with Dual-Fuel Operates on Compressed Air and CO2
ROCHESTER, New York, – Crosman Corporation, a leading, worldwide supplier of products for the shooting sports and producer of the Benjamin brand, has introduced a new, 2000 psi pre-charged pneumatic air rifle in both .177 and .22 calibers for hunting, field target and general recreational shooting. The new Benjamin Discovery, the first developed to use 2000 pounds per square inch (psi) of compressed air rather than the industry norm of 3000 psi, features Dual-Fuel technology which allows the rifle to operate on either compressed air, supplied by Benjamin’s 2000 psi hand pump, or from CO2. With only 100 strokes of its pump, the new single-shot, bolt action rifle produces 35 consistently accurate shots on one fill of compressed air or 100 consistently accurate shots on a single fill of CO2.

The Benjamin Discovery air rifle comes in .177 or .22 calibers and with its Dual-Fuel technology, the Discovery can be powered by compressed air or CO2. The .177 caliber rifle produces 1,000 fps on 2000 psi compressed air and 750 fps on CO2. The .22 caliber rifle delivers 850 fps on 2000 psi compressed air and 650 fps on CO2. The Discovery has a built-in pressure gauge to display the gun’s level of charge, and its quick-disconnect fittings make it fast and easy to fill and return to shooting.
There is also an optional CO2 adapter. The Discovery’s long steel receiver is grooved to accept 11mm scope mounts, and its rifled steel barrel adds to its accuracy. The lightweight, low-recoil rifle features a hardwood walnut stock and Williams FiresightTM front and rear sights. It also comes with a three-stage hand pump, quick start-up guide and a sample pack of 25 pellets. The Benjamin Discovery will have a suggested retail of $399.
