One was a Yugoslavian version, marked as the Model M57. The other was a Romanian Tokarev TTC.
While similar to the Colt 1911 design, the Tokarev was a simplification in some ways, and an advancement in others.
We thought the large-handled safety, in a position where you’d find it on a 1911-type pistol, was useful and permitted proper carry of this single-action handgun.
This gun showed original contours and finish. It lacked a holster or spare magazine, so if you’re shopping for one, be sure to pick up those items.
