MIAMI – New for 2008 Taurus pushes its small frame revolvers to the next level with the Model 856. Offering 6-shot capacity in a two-inch barrel model, now customers don’t have to compromise shot-capacity for size. Lightweight and easy to carry, that sixth shot might be the one that saves your life.
Taurus offers this ideal personal protection revolver in several configurations. Starting with the Hy-Lite magnesium model weighting in at only 13.2 ounces, this firearm is the ultimate in lightweight durability. The easily toteable revolver, available in .38 Special, features an ultra-strong, ultra-lightweight magnesium frame.
In addition Taurus offers a standard version of the Model 856 in Blue or Matte Stainless in a six-shot .38 Special +P. The firearm is hammer forged with a soft rubber grip for comfort. Standard features on the Model 856 include the unique Taurus Security System that allows users to securely lock the gun using an inconspicuous key-lock. MSRP $399.00 – 499.00.
