A Georgia gun dealer facing a lawsuit by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg decided not to participate in jury selection, which sends the case directly to a federal appeals court and out of U.S. District Judge Jack B. Weinstein’s court.
Lawyer John Renzulli, representing Adventure Outdoors of Smyrna, Ga., told Weinstein, who has shown bias against gun ownership issues in his federal court, that Adventure Outdoors wouldn’t participate in choosing a jury. The city claimed the move also takes away any basis for appeal.
