(GunReports.com) — Lew Horton Distributing Co. has its first runs of a special Kahr CW9 with three 24kt-gold engraved messages and icons that will appeal to 2nd Amendment defenders.
Engraved on the left side of the CW9’s blackened stainless slide are the defiant words “Molon Labe” in Greek letters.
The right side of the slide features a gold Spartan helmet. The top of the slide features a Spartan Lambda Shield in gold.
Historically, the term Molon Labe dates to 490 BC when King Leonidas of Sparta led 300 Spartan warriors against a numerically superior Persian army ay Thermopylae, Greece. The Battle of Thermopylae has become one of history’s most famous last stands, and is a testament to the legendary strength and honor of the Spartan warrior.
“Molon Labe” translates to “Come and Take Them,” which was King Leonidas’ response to the Persian army’s demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons.
Today, Molon Labe, has become a popular catch phrase used by gun owners and gun rights enthusiasts in America.
