(GunReports.com) — Eagle Imports is bringing the Metro Arms family of products, including the compact MAC 1911 Bobcut, to the United States in 2013.
Metro Arms Corporation, established under the expertise of former competitive shooter Hector Rodriquez, designs and builds classic and competitve 1911 style pistols. Metro Arms is based in the Philippines.
The MAC 1911 Bobcut model, available in a deep blue or hard chrome finish, is a single-action semi-auto .45 ACP compact pistol. The Bobcuts come with flared and lowered ejection ports, enhanced beavertail grip safeties, and skeletal hammers and combat triggers.
Other features include rear slide serrations, stippled front strap serrations, extended thumb safeties, throated forged steel barrels, and compact, lightweight 4140 steel frames with hammer forged slides.
Both models have fully-adjustable Novak-type rear sights with a dovetailed fiber-optic front sight and are outfitted with custom, hardwood grips featuring the MAC logo.
