Davidson’s, a firearms, ammunition, optics, and accessories wholesaler based in Prescott, Arizona, has collaborated with Ruger to produce a series of exclusive American Predator rifles with a Bushnell 4-12×40 AO Sharpshooter scope and rings included.
In addition to the included optic, these rifles, only available through your FFL and ordered from Davidson’s, have a Kryptek Obskura Nox camo dip finish. Obskura Nox was generated in the wake of popularity of the Kryptek Typhon pattern and is considered a “purely psychological” pattern. The receiver, bolt knob, and threaded barrel are finished in gray cerakote. A matching gray cerakoted muzzle brake is also included, in addition to a standard matching thread protector should the user not use the muzzle brake.
The focus and parallax of the included factory-mounted Bushnell Sharpshooter scope can be manipulated with an adjustable objective that adjusts from 10 yards out to infinity. Constructed of a one-piece tube made of aircraft-grade aluminum, the scope is watertight and nitrogen-purged to prevent fogging.
The Ruger American Predator has the company’s Power Bedding in the stock, which free-floats the barrel. A three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw provides ample scope clearance and utilizes a full-diameter bolt body and dual cocking cams. The installed Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers a pull weight that is user adjustable between 3 and 5 pounds.
These Davidson’s exclusives are offered in 22-250 Remington (36950), 308 Winchester (36953), and 6.5 Creedmoor (36954). Each carries an MSRP of $712; however, consumers will likely receive a much better price from Davidson’s FFL dealers.
