Smith & Wesson Supplies M&P Rifles to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office

Smith & Wesson has supplied the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona with rifles from the company’s Military & Police Series. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has taken possession of 400 M&P15 Magpul Original Equipment (MOE) Mid rifles and is currently in the process of converting deputies to the new rifle system.

Condition Orange is the next level of mental awareness. Condition Orange is best described as a specific, potential threat. Let's say you are in Condition Yellow and you're aware of what's going on around you and you see something out of the ordinary—you immediately ramp up to Condition Orange. In Condition Orange, you need to do Two Things: First, you must make some evasive maneuver which forces your opponent to show his hand. Second, you must start formulating that tactical plan in the event that this is a real threat. The evasive maneuver forces your opponent to show whether his actions are just a coincidence OR he's actually after you!

BAR history from The Browning Insider

Much of the fame of today's sporting BAR began through the fame of the original military BAR designed by John M. Browning near the end of World War I. This rifle, called the BAR M1918, was commissioned by the U.S. Army in an effort to break the stalemate of trench warfare in the battlefields of France and Belgium. It took John M. Browning three months to design it. Browning took this project so seriously that his son Val personally did testing and training of the American troops.

Magpul Sues Four Mag Makers for Patent Infringement

Magpul Industries Corp announced today that it has filed patent infringement lawsuits against four companies for offering for sale, selling, and distributing magazines for AR15/M16 compatible weapons in violation of Magpul’s patents. The company’s lawsuits allege infringement of Utility Pat. No. 8,069,601 for a novel ammunition magazine, in addition to numerous Magpul design patents.

Stag Arms Helps Raise $ for Troops

Move America Forward (MAF), the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, announced the winner of a giveaway from Stag Arms to help promote Troopathon 6, a star-studded effort to send care packages to troops in Afghanistan. The giveaway spanned more than a month and gathered more than 3,500 entries. At the end of the fundraiser, MAF collected $321,042.
